Quick verdict
The Jura J10 is the most versatile fully automatic coffee machine Jura has ever made: 42 speciality drinks including genuine cold brew, syrup-infused sweet foam and properly heated milk, all from one touch. It costs $3,990 RRP in Australia, though street prices sit around $3,499. Our take: it’s an exceptional machine — TechRadar named it Home Device of the Year and a German lab called it the best fully automatic it has ever tested — but it’s double the price of very credible rivals. Buy it if you want the sweet foam and cold brew tricks nobody else does this well; otherwise, half-price alternatives exist.
Jura J10 Australian price and where to buy
Here’s the price picture (checked 8 October 2026):
$3,990 — JURA Australia (jura.com.au) (official RRP, available now through Jura online and selected retailers).
$3,499 — Harvey Norman (listed on the Harvey Norman coffee machines category page — the cheapest mainstream-retailer price we’ve seen).
$3,499 — Crema Coffee Garage (specialist retailer, listed as in stock).
Prices from Harvey Norman and Crema Coffee Garage. That’s a ~$500 saving off RRP if you shop the independents and Harvey Norman rather than buying direct from Jura.
Worth noting: TechRadar’s review observed the J10 has already had a price cut since it reviewed the machine back in April — so the $3,499 street price is the number that matters, not the $3,990 headline.
Release date and availability
The J10 launched in early 2025 as the headline model of Jura’s J line, sitting in the family that also includes the J8 and the Z10. It sells in Australia in a Piano Black finish (Jura’s Australian press materials also reference a Night Chrome look), made in Switzerland, and is stocked now through jura.com.au, selected electrical retailers, department stores and specialist coffee outlets. It’s also a Good Design Award winner in Australia.
What it is and key features
The J10’s pitch is variety without fuss. The headline trio is what sets it apart:
Cold Extraction Process. Genuine cold brew without the overnight steep: cold water is pulsed through freshly ground coffee under high pressure, producing a smooth, low-acidity cold brew in under a minute. Reviewers describe the result as strikingly similar to properly steeped overnight cold brew.
Sweet Foam. The J10 can infuse milk foam with syrup during preparation, so flavoured lattes and dessert-style drinks come out properly balanced instead of having syrup dumped in the bottom of the cup. Any coffee syrup works, including sugar-free ones — and because the flavour is distributed evenly, you need less of it.
Hot Milk function. Properly heated milk for traditional warm drinks — a dedicated function rather than an afterthought, which is rarer than it sounds in this class.
Behind that sits the Professional Aroma Grinder (P.A.G.2+), which monitors and adjusts grind consistency in real time, plus pulse extraction (PEP), 10 coffee strengths, and a total of 42 speciality beverages — espresso, flat white, cappuccino, latte macchiato, cold brew specialities, hot milk and more. The 4.3-inch colour touchscreen drives it all, with a Coffee Eye cup sensor that detects where your cup is placed, and you can filter the menu by temperature — tap once to see only cold drinks on a hot day.
The numbers: 15-bar pump, 2L water tank, 10.7kg, 35 × 29 × 44cm. CHOICE’s lab recorded a 54-second frothing-ready time and 3 water temperature settings, and noted drink volume can be adjusted in 5ml increments. One caveat: the J.O.E. app needs a separate Wi-Fi Connect adapter — app control isn’t in the box.
What the independent reviews say
The J10 has unusually strong third-party validation for a luxury appliance. TechRadar named it Home Device of the Year 2025, praising the cold brew, the sweet foam, the self-cleaning convenience and the value it offered after its price cut. German test house ETM Test Magazine gave it a 97.7% score and a “very good” grade — the highest for any fully automatic machine in the magazine’s history. CHOICE gave it a 77% expert rating, praising milk frothing and programmability.
Reviewers also agree on the honest caveats: TechRadar flagged a shallow drip tray you need to empty carefully and customisation menus that time out sooner than ideal. And it’s worth being clear — this is a press-button luxury machine, not a barista’s tool. Dial-in purists who want to tweak grind by hand will find the automation limiting.
Jura J10 vs De’Longhi PrimaDonna Aromatic: the money question
This is the comparison that matters in Australia, because the De’Longhi PrimaDonna Aromatic chases the same buyer — someone who wants hot and cold drinks from one machine — at $1,999 (Harvey Norman) against the J10’s ~$3,499 street price.
What the J10 does that the De’Longhi can’t: syrup-infused Sweet Foam (the Aromatic has hot and cold milk carafes, but no syrup infusion), the Coffee Eye cup sensor, and the build quality and design cachet of a Swiss-made flagship. CHOICE also rates the J10’s milk frothing highly, and it carries the stronger independent lab record.
What the De’Longhi does better for the money: a bigger 5-inch screen (vs 4.3 inches), Bean Adapt auto-tuning of grind and dose, and roughly 90% of the capability at roughly half the price.
The honest framing: the J10 is the more refined machine, but the $1,500–$2,000 gap pays for Sweet Foam, Swiss build and lab-test bragging rights. If flavoured cold drinks are your thing, the J10 earns its premium. If you just want excellent hot and iced coffee with zero fuss, the De’Longhi wins the value argument outright.
How it compares to other options
vs Jura Z10 (~$4,499 at Harvey Norman). Jura’s own step-up flagship costs more than the J10’s street price. Unless you specifically want the Z10’s dual-grinder setup, the J10 is the smarter Jura buy.
vs Breville the Oracle Dual Boiler (~$4,499). A completely different philosophy: the Oracle Dual Boiler is a semi-automatic for people who want to dial in by hand. The J10 is for people who never want to think about it. Automation vs control — pick your camp.
vs Ninja Luxe Café Premier ($609 street). The Ninja Luxe Café Premier is the budget bean-to-cup pick — simpler, no cold brew, no sweet foam, no app. It’s excellent value, but it plays in a different league entirely.
vs De’Longhi Magnifica Duo. The Magnifica Duo covers bean-to-cup basics for a fraction of the money. You lose cold brew, sweet foam and the touchscreen experience — but you keep thousands of dollars.
Worth it? Our verdict
The J10 is genuinely one of the best fully automatic machines ever tested — the independent reviews aren’t hype. But “best” and “worth it” are different questions. At ~$3,499 street, you’re paying for three things nobody else does as well in one machine: true one-minute cold brew, syrup-infused sweet foam, and Swiss-made refinement.
Buy it if flavoured iced drinks and café-style variety are your daily habit, and the $1,500+ premium over the De’Longhi doesn’t make you flinch. Skip it if you mostly drink hot espresso drinks — at that point the PrimaDonna Aromatic gives you the same core experience for half the money, and a Breville Oracle gives you more control for similar money.
Verdict: the finest luxury one-touch coffee machine you can buy in Australia — but only worth $3,499 if you’ll actually use the sweet foam and cold brew tricks that justify it.

Frequently asked questions
How much is the Jura J10 in Australia?
The RRP is $3,990 through JURA Australia, but street prices sit around $3,499 — Harvey Norman lists it at $3,499 and specialist retailer Crema Coffee Garage at $3,499. Prices checked 8 October 2026.
Is the Jura J10 worth it?
If you want one machine that makes genuine cold brew, syrup-infused sweet foam and hot milk at a touch, yes — independent reviews rate it among the best fully automatic machines ever tested. If you mostly drink hot espresso drinks, the De’Longhi PrimaDonna Aromatic offers a similar core experience for roughly half the money.
What is Sweet Foam on the Jura J10?
Sweet Foam infuses milk foam with syrup during preparation rather than adding syrup to the cup afterwards, producing evenly flavoured, dessert-style drinks. It works with any coffee syrup, including sugar-free varieties, and you need less syrup because the flavour is distributed throughout the foam.
Can the Jura J10 make real cold brew?
Yes. Its Cold Extraction Process pulses cold water through freshly ground coffee under high pressure, delivering smooth, low-acidity cold brew in under a minute — no overnight steeping. It can also foam cold milk, and the touchscreen menu can be filtered to show only cold drinks.
Should I buy the Jura J10 or the De’Longhi PrimaDonna Aromatic?
The J10 (~$3,499 street) is the more refined machine with unique Sweet Foam and stronger independent lab scores; the PrimaDonna Aromatic ($1,999 at Harvey Norman) has a bigger screen, Bean Adapt auto-grind and most of the capability. For flavoured iced drinks, the J10 earns its premium; for hot and iced coffee variety, the De’Longhi is the value pick.
