Dyson’s flagship robot vacuum-mop, the R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub UV, was announced at the company’s Berlin event and is set to be the smartest cleaner Dyson has ever shipped. It pairs a high-powered vacuum with a mopping system designed to actually scrub floors rather than just drag a damp pad behind it.
The headline feature is a UV light that reveals stains invisible to the naked eye, working alongside AI vision trained to recognise around 200 common household substances. It also packs 30,000Pa of suction and a self-cleaning roller that washes itself with 70°C water back at the dock.
For Australia, local press coverage confirms the R3 is bound for our shores in early 2027. There is no Australian pricing yet — Dyson announced a US price of $1,200, and with its siblings the R1 and R2 Nurovi selling locally for $949 and $1,449, this will sit firmly at the premium end.
If your current robot vac is on its last legs, it may be worth holding off a few months to see where the R3 lands. That said, the R2 Nurovi is on sale in Australia right now for $1,449, and its price may well drop by the time the R3 arrives.
